Creating Process

Chocolate Melting
Warm chocolate slowly using a double boiler method, constantly stirring for smoothness. Keep the right temp to avoid chocolate getting grainy.
Making Bunnies
Dip pretzels fully in white chocolate, letting extra drip off. Start by adding the nose first. Finish with tiny whiskers as the last touch.
Creating Sheep
Cover pretzels with white chocolate, then quickly sprinkle sugar pearls on top. Use dark chocolate for the face details, then stick on candy eyes in the right spots.

Cooling Guidelines

A quick trip to the fridge helps set the chocolate - just pop them in for 2-3 minutes but don't leave them too long or they'll get wet.

Ingredients

→ Base

01 6-8 full-size Shredded Wheat biscuits, crumbled
02 200g dark chocolate, broken into chunks
03 200g milk chocolate, chopped into bits
04 100g golden syrup
05 100g unsalted butter

Instructions

Step 01

In a large bowl, crush the Shredded Wheat into tiny pieces. Leave it aside for later.

Step 02

Gently heat the butter and golden syrup in a pot, stirring now and then until the butter is fully liquid. Remove from the heat and mix in the milk and dark chocolate until smooth and melted.

Step 03

Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the crushed cereal. Stir until it’s evenly coated throughout.

Step 04

Grab two spoons or a scoop and form little nest shapes with the mixture on a parchment-lined tray. Pop a few Easter candies on top of each one.

Step 05

Put the tray in the fridge and let the nests sit until they’re completely firm.

Notes

  1. Only dark chocolate (350g) or only milk chocolate (500g) can be used if preferred.
  2. Another cereal (80-100g) can work instead of Shredded Wheat.
  3. These stay fresh and tasty for about a week or more.
  4. White chocolate doesn’t melt well with the syrup and butter combo.
