Chocolate Easter Nests (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 6-8 full-size Shredded Wheat biscuits, crumbled
02 - 200g dark chocolate, broken into chunks
03 - 200g milk chocolate, chopped into bits
04 - 100g golden syrup
05 - 100g unsalted butter

→ Topping

06 - 100-200g small Easter treats for decoration

# Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl, crush the Shredded Wheat into tiny pieces. Leave it aside for later.
02 - Gently heat the butter and golden syrup in a pot, stirring now and then until the butter is fully liquid. Remove from the heat and mix in the milk and dark chocolate until smooth and melted.
03 - Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the crushed cereal. Stir until it’s evenly coated throughout.
04 - Grab two spoons or a scoop and form little nest shapes with the mixture on a parchment-lined tray. Pop a few Easter candies on top of each one.
05 - Put the tray in the fridge and let the nests sit until they’re completely firm.

# Notes:

01 - Only dark chocolate (350g) or only milk chocolate (500g) can be used if preferred.
02 - Another cereal (80-100g) can work instead of Shredded Wheat.
03 - These stay fresh and tasty for about a week or more.
04 - White chocolate doesn’t melt well with the syrup and butter combo.
