# Composition:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 1 big egg, brought to room temperature
02 - 1 cup of soft butter (unsalted, 226g)
03 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
04 - 1 cup of white sugar (200g)
05 - 1/2 teaspoon almond essence (totally optional, but boosts the strawberry vibe!)

→ Dry Ingredients

06 - 1 small box (3 oz) of strawberry-flavored gelatin powder
07 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
08 - 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
09 - 2 cups plain all-purpose flour (250g)

→ Finishing Touches

10 - A handful (24-30) of unwrapped chocolate kisses
11 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar to sprinkle on top

# Étapes de réalisation:

01 - In a big bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until smooth and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes). Stir in the egg and the extracts until everything looks well mixed.
02 - Sprinkle in the gelatin mix and stir until the dough takes on a nice pink shade.
03 - In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Slowly mix these dry ingredients into your pink, fluffy mixture until you’ve got a soft dough.
04 - Roll a tablespoon of dough into a ball and place each ball onto a baking sheet lined with parchment. Press your thumb into the top of each one to make a little indent for the chocolate later!
05 - Bake the cookies in a 350°F oven for 10-12 minutes, until they're firm at the edges but still soft in the middle. Leave them on the baking sheet for a couple minutes to settle.
06 - While the cookies are warm, press a chocolate kiss into the thumbprint. Then carefully move them to a cooling rack.
07 - Wait till the cookies are fully cooled and the chocolate is set. Then lightly sprinkle powdered sugar on top for a festive touch!
