Gluten-Free Fried Rice (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 pound ground chicken
02 - 1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 rib celery, finely chopped
05 - 3 tablespoons cajun seasoning
06 - 1 onion, finely chopped
07 - 1 tablespoon butter
08 - 1 tablespoon oil

→ Sauce

09 - 4 burger rolls
10 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
11 - 1/2-1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
12 - 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
13 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
14 - 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes

→ Optional Toppings

15 - Shredded lettuce
16 - Sliced cheese
17 - Slaw
18 - Sour cream

# Instructions:

01 - Warm up the oil with butter and sauté celery, onion, and green pepper until tender for about 7 to 8 minutes.
02 - Toss in ground chicken and break it up while cooking. Add garlic and cajun seasoning after cooking for 5 minutes.
03 - Stir in crushed tomatoes, the sugar, heavy cream, and some hot sauce. Turn the heat down to low.
04 - Let it simmer for around 15 minutes, stirring every now and then. Adjust the salt to taste.
05 - Get the rolls toasted and combine everything with optional toppings of your choice.

# Notes:

01 - Cook longer or shorter depending on how thick or saucy you want it to be.
02 - Toast the rolls at the last minute so they stay crispy.
03 - Cajun spice mix can vary; adjust the salt based on your mix.
