White Garlic Pizza (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ White Garlic Sauce

01 - 1¼ cups full-fat milk
02 - 2 tablespoons of plain flour
03 - A quarter teaspoon of freshly cracked black pepper
04 - 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
05 - 3 garlic cloves, minced very finely (or 3 teaspoons from a jar)
06 - A quarter cup of freshly grated Parmesan
07 - ¼ teaspoon of fine sea salt

→ Pizza Ingredients

08 - 1 store-bought or homemade pizza crust
09 - A teaspoon of olive oil
10 - Half a cup of your homemade garlic-Parmesan sauce
11 - ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese for topping
12 - 8 ounces of low-moisture mozzarella, grated fresh
13 - Half a teaspoon of dried Italian seasoning
14 - A couple of tablespoons of fresh basil, sliced into thin strips for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Pop the butter into a small pan over medium heat and let it melt fully until it starts to sizzle a bit.
02 - Toss in the flour and keep stirring for 2 minutes. You're aiming for a paste that's cooked, but no color change here!
03 - Pour in the milk gradually while stirring well. Keep whisking until your mix thickens, which usually takes about 3 to 5 minutes.
04 - Mix in garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together till it's nice and smooth.
05 - Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until it's completely melted. Then remove it from the heat and let it cool off a little.
06 - Heat up your oven to a blazing 450°F (232°C). Roll out the pizza dough, brush the surface with a bit of olive oil, and sprinkle Italian seasoning over it.
07 - Slather the garlic-Parmesan sauce over the pizza base. Then cover it with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses for gooey deliciousness.
08 - Put your pizza into the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. The cheese should be bubbly with golden-brown spots.
09 - Once baked, scatter fresh basil ribbons over the pizza before serving. Enjoy while it's still warm!

01 - You can make the sauce ahead and store it in the fridge for up to 5 days.
02 - To get a crispy crust, bake in a super hot oven.
03 - Add the basil after baking so it stays bright and flavorful.
