Italian Sub Squares (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - Two cans of crescent dough sheets

→ Meats & Cheese

02 - Slices of provolone (8 ounces)
03 - Sliced deli pepperoni (¼ pound)
04 - Sliced deli ham (¼ pound)
05 - Slices of Genoa salami (¼ pound)

→ Vegetables

06 - 12 ounces of drained, sliced roasted red peppers
07 - Half a cup of drained, sliced pepperoncini

→ Topping

08 - One large egg
09 - A tablespoon of store-bought pesto
10 - One tablespoon of grated parmesan

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven warmed up to 350°F and spray a baking pan (9x13 size) with cooking oil.
02 - Spread out a crescent dough sheet onto the baking pan, letting it come up the sides about an inch.
03 - Start with half the provolone, then add the pepperoni, ham, salami, red peppers, pepperoncini, and finish with the rest of the cheese.
04 - Lay the second crescent dough sheet on top and press the edges together to seal.
05 - Combine the egg, pesto, and parmesan in a small bowl and brush this mix over the top dough layer.
06 - Cover with foil sprayed lightly with cooking oil and bake for 30 minutes. Take off the foil and bake another 15-20 minutes, or until the surface is golden and crisp.
07 - Let it sit for 10 minutes to cool down a bit, then slice it up and enjoy.
