Strawberry Chocolate Delight (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1/2 cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter, softened
02 - 1 cup of packed light brown sugar
03 - 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
04 - 1 egg at room temperature
05 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

→ Dry Mixture

06 - 1 3/4 cups (8 oz) of all-purpose flour
07 - 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda
08 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt

→ Extras for Flavor

09 - 1 cup of gently crushed freeze-dried strawberries
10 - 8 oz of chopped dark chocolate
11 - Chocolate melting wafers for dipping and topping

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the softened butter with both sugars until it turns fluffy and pale. Scrape the sides of the bowl, then add the egg and vanilla. Mix everything until smooth and scrape the bowl again.
02 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Slowly add it to the butter bowl while mixing on low. Don’t overwork the dough. Toss in the strawberries and chocolate pieces, stirring gently to distribute evenly.
03 - Take spoonfuls of dough and drop them onto a parchment-covered baking sheet. Use a cookie scoop if you’ve got one! Press them down a bit to flatten.
04 - Pop the tray into the oven at 350°F and bake for 11-14 minutes. The edges should just turn golden while the center stays soft. Rest the cookies on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a rack to cool completely.
05 - After cooling, dip the bottoms into melted chocolate and let the extra drip off. Use a zip bag or piping bag to drizzle more chocolate over the tops. Wait for the chocolate to set before serving up.

# Notes:

01 - Make sure your ingredients aren’t cold for better results.
02 - Cookies will firm up as they sit after baking.
03 - Stacking or storing is easier once the chocolate sets.
