Spicy Sweet Chicken Wings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken and Seasonings

01 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
02 - ½ teaspoon ground pepper, freshly cracked
03 - 2 pounds of wings, separated into flats and drumettes
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt

→ Sticky Sweet Heat Sauce

06 - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
07 - ¼ cup sugar that's brown
08 - ½ teaspoon (optional: cayenne for extra kick)
09 - ¼ cup honey (pure)
10 - ¼ cup choice of hot sauce
11 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce

→ Toppings for Serving

12 - Chopped fresh cilantro
13 - Thinly sliced green onions
14 - Toasted sesame seeds

# Instructions:

01 - Make sure the wings are clean and completely dry—take paper towels and really blot them (this step is huge for that crispiness!). Mix them up in a big bowl with the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper till coated thoroughly.
02 - Choose your style! Baking? Pop those wings on a wire rack placed over foil-lined trays and bake at 400°F for 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway. Frying? Heat some oil to 375°F and fry them in smaller batches for 8-10 minutes each until they’re crispy and golden. Either way, you want that crunch!
03 - While the wings are doing their thing, grab a small pot and mix honey, brown sugar, your favorite hot sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and cayenne (if you’re into heat). Put it on medium and stir every now and then for 3-5 minutes until it bubbles and starts to get a little thicker.
04 - Once the wings are hot and crispy, toss them in the sweet and spicy sauce until everything is coated nicely. Top it off with cilantro, sesame seeds, and green onions if you like!

# Notes:

01 - Dry wings completely to ensure they get crispy
02 - You can make the glaze ahead of time and warm it up when needed
03 - Control how spicy it gets by adjusting cayenne and hot sauce
