Get your grill or indoor pan to medium heat. Let it heat up so it's hot enough for nice char marks!

In a bowl, combine the beef with the garlic, onion powder, oregano, and red chili flakes. Form four patties, pressing a little dent in the middle of each so they stay flat as they cook.

Pop the patties on the grill and cook about 5-7 minutes per side, checking until they're the doneness you like (160°F for medium). Add mozzarella slices near the end, close the lid to melt the cheese perfectly.

When the cheese is oozy and melted, take the patties off the grill. Add a few slices of pepperoni and spoon some pizza sauce over the top. Toast the buns at the same time until they're crisp and golden.

Stack your masterpiece! Start with a toasted bottom bun, place the cheesy patty on, and dress it with basil leaves or extra toppings. Top off with the upper bun, then enjoy right away!
