Hot Seafood Bread Bowl (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 whole sourdough loaf, firm and crusty

→ Seafood Mix

02 - 8 ounces flaked fresh crab meat
03 - 8 ounces of cooked shrimp, chopped into pieces

→ Creamy Base

04 - 1/2 cup softened cream cheese at room temp
05 - 1/3 cup good-quality mayo
06 - 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded finely

→ Seasonings & Aromatics

07 - 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced small
08 - 1 teaspoon of Old Bay spice blend
09 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
10 - 1 heaping tablespoon of lemon juice
11 - 1/4 cup chopped green onions

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it can warm up while you prep.
02 - Grab your sourdough loaf and cut a hollow space in the middle. Don't toss those bread bits though—they're perfect for dipping later!
03 - Mix cream cheese, mayo, shredded mozzarella, green onions, minced garlic, Old Bay, smoked paprika, and lemon juice until smooth in a bowl.
04 - Gently mix the crab meat and chopped shrimp with the creamy mixture, taking care to leave nice big chunks of seafood.
05 - Pour the seafood mixture into the bread bowl. Bake on a tray for a good 20-25 minutes until everything is bubbling and toasted.
06 - Take out your masterpiece, scatter some green onions on top, and serve it toasty and gooey with the leftover bread bits around it.

# Notes:

01 - You can get a head start and make the filling one day in advance—just load it into the bread last minute.
02 - Making single servings? Use small bread rolls for individual portions.
03 - Don’t have a bread bowl? It works just as well baked in a dish.
