Sugar Cookie Icing (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 75-90ml (5-6 tablespoons) milk
02 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (clear)
03 - Optional: Food coloring
04 - 4 teaspoons light corn syrup
05 - 480g (4 cups) powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together powdered sugar, 5 tablespoons milk, corn syrup, and vanilla till the mixture feels silky.
02 - Slowly mix in a bit of milk until a ribbon of icing collapses after 3-4 seconds. Pull out one-third for outlining.
03 - For the rest of the icing, stir in extra milk until it melts into the rest of the bowl right away.
04 - If you want, mix food coloring into both batches of icing for creativity.
05 - Draw outlines first with the thick icing, then flood the inside with the thinner version. Fill gaps using a toothpick if needed.
06 - Leave the cookies untouched to dry for 20 to 24 hours if stacking them.

# Notes:

01 - Yields about 1 3/4 cups of icing
02 - Store in the fridge if making it ahead of time
03 - Corn syrup creates a glossy finish
