01 -
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grab a 9x5 pan and grease it up. In a mixing bowl, stir together the baking powder, flour, and salt until blended.
02 -
Cream the butter, oil, and sugar with a mixer till smooth and fluffy (about 3 minutes). Add an egg at a time and beat well, then pour in the vanilla. Gradually alternate adding the dry mix and buttermilk, beginning and ending with dry.
03 -
Take 3/4 cup of your batter and move it to another bowl. Add cinnamon, molasses, and brown sugar, then mix till it’s all blended together.
04 -
Pour a layer of the plain batter in the greased pan. Add spoonfuls of the cinnamon batter, then swirl. Repeat this with the rest of both batters.
05 -
Place the loaf in your oven and bake for 45-50 minutes. Check with a toothpick—it’s ready when it comes out mostly clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
06 -
Melt some butter in a dish. Mix cinnamon and sugars in another. Dunk the cooled loaf in the butter, then coat it in the sugar-cinnamon blend. Allow it to cool fully before slicing.
