Cinnamon Sugar Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/2 cups (300g) white sugar.
02 - 2 cups (250g) plain flour.
03 - 2 teaspoons baking powder.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon fine salt (kosher preferred).
05 - 1 large egg, at room temp.
06 - 1 1/4 cups (306g) full-fat milk.
07 - 1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring.
08 - 2 tablespoons butter, melted.
09 - 1/2 cup (100g) sugar for coating.
10 - 1/4 cup (57g) melted unflavored butter (for the coating).
11 - 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, ground.
12 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and get an 8.5x4.5-inch loaf pan greased up with spray.
02 - Toss together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a big bowl.
03 - In a different bowl, whisk milk, egg, vanilla, and the melted butter until smooth.
04 - Gently combine the wet mix with the dry stuff until it just comes together. Don't overdo it.
05 - Pour batter into your prepared pan, pop it in the oven, and bake for 60 to 70 minutes. A toothpick should come out mostly clean.
06 - After cooling for 10 minutes, take the loaf out, brush it with the melted butter, then roll it in the spiced sugar blend.

01 - Don't mix the batter too much.
02 - Coat while it's still a bit warm.
03 - Save leftover sugar coating for another time.
