Let the puff pastry thaw as per the packaging directions and set the oven to 400°F to warm up.

Set the brie in the middle of the pastry and layer it with pecans and cranberry sauce on top.

If you want, make small leaf shapes from the extra pastry edges, then fold the corners over the brie and pinch to seal. Add your leaf cutouts for decoration.

Mix water with the egg yolk and brush it over the pastry to give it a shiny golden look.
