Bacon Sugar Smokies (Print Version)

01 - Freshly grated black pepper, use as much as you'd like
02 - Packed brown sugar, 3/4 cup
03 - Bacon strips, thinly sliced, 1 pound (cut into 3 pieces each)
04 - Cocktail sausages, 16 oz package

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on the oven to 350°F. Coat a baking dish or sheet with nonstick spray, or spread foil down to make cleaning easy.
02 - Dry off the sausages using paper towels, then take one piece of bacon and wrap it tightly around each sausage. Keep it in place with a toothpick.
03 - Pour the brown sugar into a large zip-top bag. Add a few bacon-wrapped sausages at a time, close the bag, and shake it until they're all coated. Put them on the dish you prepared earlier.
04 - Sprinkle the sugar-coated sausages with the grated black pepper, as much as you prefer.
05 - Pop the sausages in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes until the bacon turns golden. If you like it crispier, turn on the broiler for a few extra minutes to get the texture you want.
